Dartmouth Women’s Tennis Players Earn Academic All-District Honors

HANOVER, N.H. — The College Sports Communicators (CSC, formerly CoSIDA) recently announced its Women’s Tennis Academic All-District Teams, and Dartmouth’s Lexi Dewire, Elizabeth Fahrmeier, Katie Weber, and Brooke Hess have all been recognized for their academic achievements.

To qualify for this honor, student-athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests and maintained a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.5. This marks another academic accolade for Dewire, who was also named to the Academic All-District Team last season. The engineering sciences major had a successful senior campaign, earning a First Team All-Ivy Doubles accolade and a spot on the Academic All-Ivy Team.

Fahrmeier, a junior government major, was named the team’s Most Improved Player and earned First Team All-Ivy status. She returned from injury to excel in both doubles and singles play, contributing to the team’s success in Ivy League matches.

Senior psychology major Weber had a solid season with a 6-4 singles record and a key doubles victory with partner Hess. Hess, a sophomore, also had a strong season, contributing to the team’s success in both doubles and singles matches.

Overall, Dartmouth’s Women’s Tennis team has shown excellence both on and off the court, with these four players exemplifying the dedication and hard work required to succeed in both academics and athletics. Congratulations to Lexi Dewire, Elizabeth Fahrmeier, Katie Weber, and Brooke Hess on this well-deserved recognition.
