Free Car Repair Service in Dubai Benefits Hundreds of Residents

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Dubai Police’s “On-the-Go” initiative has been a game-changer for citizens in need of quick and efficient car repair services. The initiative, which offers free car repair services to senior citizens, people of determination, and pregnant women, has already benefitted 395 individuals who were involved in minor accidents.

The collaboration between Dubai Police, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), and AutoTrust (Al Rostamani) has made it possible for these individuals to have their vehicles repaired at approved workshops and returned to their residences without any hassle.

Since its launch, the “On-the-Go” initiative has served a total of 3565 individuals, providing them with various services to simplify the process of dealing with minor accidents. One of the key features of the initiative is the fast-track service available at 138 partnering petrol service stations. This service issues reports and helps motorists clear formalities related to minor accidents, insurance claims, and lost and found items within minutes.

Captain Majid bin Saeed Al Kaabi, Head of the “On-the-Go” initiative, highlighted the success of the service, revealing that it has generated 1679 reports of minor traffic accidents, 496 reports against unknown parties, 265 cars repaired, 129 reports through the Police Eye service, and 996 lost items returned to their owners.

Al Kaabi also mentioned that 7973 staff members from 18 entities have undergone training to assist people with the “On-the-Go” service, emphasizing the initiative’s role in simplifying procedures for the public and reducing the need to visit police stations for minor traffic accidents.

The process of availing the “On-the-Go” service is simple – motorists need to provide documents such as their driving license, vehicle registration, and insurance certificate to the staff at the service stations. The staff then take pictures of the vehicle damage and issue the accident report required to process the insurance claim.

While the fee for the “On-the-Go” service is Dh150, it is free for senior citizens, people of determination, and pregnant women, making it accessible to those who need it the most.

Overall, the “On-the-Go” initiative has revolutionized the way individuals deal with minor accidents, providing them with a convenient and efficient solution to get their vehicles repaired and back on the road in no time. With the support of various entities and dedicated staff, Dubai Police continues to make a positive impact on the community through initiatives like “On-the-Go.”
