The Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center is set to host a special free recital today at 5:30 p.m., showcasing the incredible talent of young artists from the State University of New York at Fredonia’s School of Music. This unique event, presented in collaboration with Ekstasis Duo’s Eliran Avni and Natasha Farny, will feature solo and chamber ensemble performances by the next generation of classical musicians.
The initiative, created by Ekstasis Duo, aims to provide these young artists with the opportunity to perform in various settings and to a wider audience. It also serves to strengthen the bond between the Opera House and the School of Music. Previous recitals have featured works by renowned composers such as J.S. Bach, Chopin, Dvořják, and Rachmaninoff.
Admission to the recital is free, with donations accepted to support piano tuning for the event. The Opera House’s programming is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts, the United Arts Appeal of Chautauqua County, and the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation Arts & Culture Initiative.
The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center, a member-supported non-profit organization, is dedicated to presenting high-quality performing arts for the community at an affordable price.
