Novak Djokovic to Face French Wild Card in Opening Round of French Open

The 2024 French Open is already off to an exciting start as Novak Djokovic prepares to take on French wild card Pierre-Hugues Herbert in the opening round. This comes just a day after his great rival Rafael Nadal was surprisingly knocked out in the first round.

Djokovic, a three-time champion at Roland Garros, will be playing in the night session on Court Philippe-Chatrier. Other notable matches on the men’s side include Casper Ruud, Dan Evans, and Alex De Minaur also in action.

On the women’s side, world No 2 Aryna Sabalenka will also be starting her campaign, while British No 1 Katie Boulter is set to face Paula Badosa of Spain on Court 14.

The tournament schedule for the French Open includes matches starting on the outside courts at 10am UK time and the show courts at 11am. There will also be a night session on Court Philippe-Chatrier starting at 7:15pm.
