French police report five migrants perish while trying to cross Channel | Global News

A tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday as five migrants lost their lives while attempting to cross the English Channel. Among the deceased was a child, whose body was discovered at Wimereux beach in northern France. The French coastguard confirmed that there was a failed attempt to cross the Channel, leading to a crowd panic and several “lifeless bodies” being found.

The boat, carrying 110 people, encountered difficulties during the crossing, resulting in a distressing situation.
