The Frontier boys tennis team is on a winning streak, inching closer to securing a spot in the postseason. In their latest match against Pope Francis, the Redhawks emerged victorious with a 3-2 win, bringing their season record to an impressive 7-3.

Oliver Brown and Brayden Reipold dominated in No. 1 doubles, securing a 6-2, 6-0 triumph, while Noah Nichols and Donovan Vichi clinched a 6-0, 6-3 win in No. 2 doubles. Caiden Manning sealed the victory with a 6-2, 6-2 win in N0. 3 singles.

In the girls tennis scene, Mohawk Trail defeated Greenfield with a score of 3-2. Palmer King and Hazel Foucault led the Warriors to victory in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. Ivan Hillenbrand and Eliza Crowell secured the win with a 6-3, 6-3 triumph in No. 1 doubles.

Despite a loss to PVCICS, Frontier’s Hashini Ratnatunge and Esther Ehle, along with Kayla Fagan, put up a strong fight in singles and doubles matches.

In boys track, Mohawk Trail outperformed Franklin Tech with standout performances from Chay Mojallali, Will Van Vleet, and Crimson Helenek. Meanwhile, Frontier dominated Pioneer with Jack Storm and Aiden Dredge leading the charge.

On the girls track front, Mohawk Trail’s Heidi Helenek shined in the pole vault, 100 hurdles, and 400, while Frontier’s Lilly Novak and Nicole Plasse showcased their skills in shot put, discus, and long jump.

Overall, it was a thrilling day of sports with impressive performances from all teams involved.
