Armed gardai conducted a search at a well-known business on the Tuam Road in Galway this week, as part of a major operation assisted by the Criminal Assets Bureau. The sting, which took place on Tuesday, May 28, involved members of the Galway Division and the Customs Dog Unit.

According to a source, the gardai targeted the business as well as another residence outside of Galway City. A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana confirmed the search, stating that investigations are ongoing.

In addition to this operation, the gardai are appealing to the public for information regarding a series of crimes in Co. Galway. These include theft, criminal damage, and burglary incidents that occurred in various locations.

For instance, on Saturday, May 25, the front window of a house in Ballinasloe was smashed, and witnesses are urged to contact the local Garda Station. Similarly, a bronze Toyota HiLux had its tires slashed in Ballinasloe, and a double axel trailer was stolen from Williamstown Co. Galway.

The authorities are seeking any information that could help solve these crimes and are encouraging the community to come forward with any relevant details. As investigations continue, the gardai are working diligently to ensure the safety and security of the residents in the area.
