Legendary St. Louis Cardinals manager Whitey Herzog has passed away at the age of 92. Known for his dynamic and fast-paced playing style dubbed “Whiteyball,” Herzog led the Cardinals to a World Series championship in 1982. The team continued to find success under his leadership, making two more World Series appearances in 1985 and 1987.

In other sports news, the STL Cardinals were back in action at Oakland last night, and fans can catch all the action on KUKU 100.3 and News Talk Radio KWPM. Additionally, the Boys high school baseball state rankings have been released, with some local schools making the top ten. Mansfield is ranked #5 in class 2, Licking is at #2 in class 3, and West Plains is at #4 in class 5. Congratulations to all the schools that made the list.
