Garylee shares district baseball information

High school baseball teams are currently in district play, with exciting matchups taking place across various classes. In class 1 district 4, the Eminence Redwings will face off against Couch on Saturday at 2pm. Norwood secured the top seed in the district and will play the winner on the 13th. The Dora Falcons, the 2 seed, will take on the 3 seed Kosh Bluejays on the 13th as well.

Moving on to class 2, district 2 features Greenville as the top seed with a first-round bye. Other matchups include Ellington vs Alton and Van Buren vs Winona on Thursday, with winners advancing to play on the 13th. In district 10, Mansfield holds the top seed and will await the winners of Forland vs Cabool, Gainesville vs Chadwick, and Bakersville vs Summersville.

In class 3, Licking and Houston are the top seeds in districts 9 and 10, respectively. Exciting matchups are set to take place in the coming days, with teams vying for a spot in the next round.

Meanwhile, in the MLB, the Royals secured a 3-2 win over the Brewers, with standout performances from Cole Ragans, Nick Anderson, and Chris Stratton. Michael Massey’s solo homer contributed to the team’s victory, bringing their record to 21-15 for the season.
