George Benson Returns to Warner Music Group

Grammy-winning jazz guitarist-vocalist George Benson is making a comeback with the release of his long-lost album “Dreams Do Come True: When George Benson Meets Robert Farnon.” The album, originally recorded 35 years ago, features covers of American standards and pop classics and will be available on CD, LP, and all digital platforms from Rhino on June 14.

Benson, who recently announced his return to the Warner Music Group, expressed his excitement about the album’s release. He enlisted the help of Grammy-winning pianist, composer, and arranger Randy Waldman to co-produce the newly remastered version of the album.

In a statement, Benson shared, “After finding this long-lost treasure of music, I employed my genius friend, Randy Waldman, to help me bring it back to life. Mission accomplished.”

This release comes as a celebration of Benson’s reunion with Warner Music Group, where he recorded 12 albums between 1979 and 1993. His Warner Bros. Records debut album “Breezin'” in 1976 marked a mainstream breakthrough for him, with hits like “This Masquerade” propelling him to the top of the charts.

With 25 Grammy nominations and 10 wins, Benson’s musical legacy is undeniable. His upcoming performance at the Hollywood Bowl on Aug. 18 is highly anticipated, and fans can catch a glimpse of his talent in a previously unreleased video of his live performance of “Lady Blue” from the late ’70s.

As Benson continues to mesmerize audiences with his unparalleled guitar skills and soulful voice, his return to Warner Music Group signifies a new chapter in his extraordinary musical journey.
