German delegation meets with FNC to discuss AI, technology, and renewable energy

Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), recently met with Joachim Herrmann, State Minister of the Interior, Sport and Integration of Bavaria in the Federal Republic of Germany, along with his accompanying delegation in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The meeting, which was also attended by Alexander Schonfelder, Ambassador of Germany to the UAE, and several FNC members, focused on enhancing friendly relations and cooperation between the UAE and Germany. Discussions revolved around advancements in sectors such as artificial intelligence, technology, and renewable energy, with an emphasis on strengthening diplomatic relations to support international peace and security.

Ali Al Nuaimi highlighted the strong economic relationship between the two countries, noting the UAE’s position as Germany’s largest trading partner in the region. Joachim Herrmann, in turn, praised the economic cooperation between the nations and stressed the importance of bolstering bilateral relations and the strategic partnership at all levels.

Furthermore, Herrmann commended the UAE’s efforts in combating terrorism and extremist ideology on regional and international fronts, citing the country as a model of coexistence, tolerance, and peace. The meeting also included a review of current issues and recent regional and international developments, with a shared commitment to promoting values of tolerance and peace for a better future for all.
