The Warren County Sports Hall of Fame is gearing up for its biannual voting membership drive in preparation for the upcoming induction ceremony in August. The drive, which started last week and runs until May 31, allows anyone to join for a $10 membership fee. This fee not only grants voting rights for the induction class but also helps fund the ceremony and other related expenses.

The ballot for this year’s induction class includes a diverse group of athletes, coaches, and organizations. The Hall of Fame will be inducting eight living nominees, two deceased nominees, and two organizations – the Warren County Special Olympics and the American Legion Post 135. Being considered for the WCSHOF is a significant achievement, as it recognizes the successes and contributions of individuals in the sports community.

To become a voting member, interested individuals can fill out a form, visit the “Warren County Sports Hall of Fame” Facebook page, or contact Nate Sandberg. The voting members play a crucial role in determining who gets inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Among the nominees are Marlene Sandberg, known for her accomplishments in pickleball and tennis, Mike Smith, a golf enthusiast who left a lasting impact on the local golf community, Nicole Gern, a standout in cross country and track, Rick Allen, a multi-sport athlete and community leader, and Tom Craig, a dedicated coach and mentor.
