Marta Kostyuk, the Ukrainian tennis sensation, has been making waves in the tennis world with her impressive performances on the court. However, it seems that talent runs in the family as her younger sister, Mariya Kostyuk, has also been making a name for herself in the tennis community.

Mariya, who played tennis for Chicago State University and Southeast Missouri State University, had a standout season in the NCAA community back in 2016–17. She was named the Western Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week after going undefeated in the singles category for a week. With a 17-17 record in singles, including a flawless 6-0 run, Mariya proved that she has what it takes to succeed on the court.

Not only did Mariya excel in singles, but she also had a strong record in doubles, with an 18-15 record overall. She even won a match at No. 1 doubles in the Green Bay tournament with her partner Leshia Gadacz. It’s clear that Mariya has the talent and drive to succeed in the world of tennis.

In a surprising turn of events, Marta’s other sister, Zoryana, took on coaching duties for her during the 2023 Citi Open. In a post-match interview, Marta jokingly mentioned that her little sister had already received some bonuses for her coaching efforts, including getting her nails done for the first time.
