Notre Dame Graduate Melanie Maggine Finds Success in Business Development Role

Melanie Maggine, a proud graduate of Notre Dame’s Class of 2023, is making waves in the business world as a Business Development Representative at G2 in Chicago. Originally from El Paso, Texas, Maggine studied marketing through the Mendoza College of Business, with a Spanish supplementary major and an innovation and entrepreneurship minor.

During her time at Notre Dame, Maggine was actively involved in various business organizations and ND Listens, while also being an active member of Breen-Phillips Hall. Reflecting on her academic journey, Maggine shares, “I came in just knowing I wanted to do business. I decided to do marketing because it was creative and analytical.”

Now, in her role at G2, Maggine leverages her degree by combining creativity and analytics in a high-stress, competitive sales environment. She credits Notre Dame for preparing her for the real-world challenges of the business industry.

Maggine also emphasizes the importance of the Notre Dame alumni network in her career development. She regularly connects with fellow ND alums to gain insights and guidance, highlighting the supportive and collaborative nature of the Notre Dame community.

Despite graduating, Maggine still feels a strong connection to Notre Dame, describing her post-grad campus visits as nostalgic and heartwarming. She values the relationships she built at Notre Dame, emphasizing that “the people are really what makes ND.”
