Westbrook Girls’ Tennis Dominates Matches, Emily Bonner Shines

The Westbrook girls’ tennis team has been on fire this spring, with standout performances from Emily Bonner leading the charge. In a recent match against Cromwell on May 6, Bonner secured a win by default at No. 4 singles, contributing to the team’s impressive 6-1 victory.

The Knights’ success didn’t stop there, as they continued their winning streak in subsequent matches. Against North Branford on May 8, the team secured a 7-0 win with Bonner once again clinching a win at No. 4 singles. The doubles teams also dominated, sweeping all three matches.

In their final match of the week on May 9 against Coginchaug, Westbrook emerged victorious with a 4-3 win on the road. Bonner’s teammate Anna Landino delivered a crucial win at No. 3 singles, sealing the team’s overall victory.
