The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has released an upgraded outlook for the global economy, predicting a “soft landing” with steady growth and controlled inflation. Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas, the IMF’s chief economist, highlighted the world’s “remarkable resilience” and the likelihood of a “soft landing.”

However, challenges remain, including stalled progress against inflation and geopolitical tensions that could disrupt trade and raise prices. China’s economy is expected to slow, while Japan and European countries are also facing economic challenges.
