The Department of Tourism, Goa, made a grand impression at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai 2024, showcasing the state’s Sustainable Tourism Initiatives to a global audience. The Goa Pavilion, inaugurated by the Indian Ambassador to the UAE, Shri. Sanjay Sudhir, highlighted the commitment to promoting Goa’s cultural heritage and natural beauty.

Visitors to the pavilion were treated to a diverse range of offerings beyond the beaches, including hinterland exploration, spiritual tourism, and insights into upcoming events like the St. Francis Xavier Exposition. The pavilion also emphasized Regenerative Tourism concepts and the Ekadasha Teertha circuit, showcasing the region’s rich cultural and historical significance.

One of the highlights of the event was an interaction with Sandiaga Uno, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in advancing sustainable tourism practices. This exchange of ideas underscored the mutual dedication to environmental conservation and cultural appreciation in the tourism industry.

The Goa Pavilion served as a platform for meaningful connections and collaboration, engaging stakeholders, industry partners, and enthusiasts in dialogue about sustainable tourism practices. Co-exhibitors like Spice Route Tours and Travels, Yoska, and Sunset Getaways added their unique perspectives to the showcase, enriching the overall experience for visitors.

Overall, the presence of Goa at ATM Dubai 2024 marked a significant milestone in the state’s journey towards sustainable tourism development. The Department of Tourism looks forward to continuing its efforts to promote responsible travel practices and showcase the unique offerings of Goa to the world.
