The G4D Tour is set to make history next week as it visits the United States for the first time at the G4D Tour @ The CJ Cup Byron Nelson. This groundbreaking event will showcase ten of the world’s best golfers with disabilities as they tee it up at TPC Craig Ranch from April 29-30.

These talented athletes have qualified through the World Ranking for Golfers with Disability (WR4GD) and will compete in the fourth event of the 2024 G4D Tour season. Among the competitors is World Number One Kipp Popert, who will be aiming to secure his tenth G4D Tour title.

Australian golfer Lachlan Wood, who recently clinched his first G4D Tour title, expressed his excitement about the upcoming event, calling it a major milestone on the calendar. He emphasized the importance of showcasing talent, promoting inclusion, and inspiring more people to play golf.

Other former winners on the G4D Tour, including Brendan Lawlor, Juan Postigo Arce, and Tommaso Perrino, will also be competing in Texas. The event will feature a mix of male and female players, with Daphne van Houten and Ryanne Jackson representing the women’s division.

Van Houten, the leading female player on the WR4GD, highlighted the challenges she faces due to her disability but emphasized the importance of adapting and excelling in different aspects of the game. The event aims to not only showcase the skills of these remarkable athletes but also to champion inclusion and celebrate the beauty of golf for all abilities.
