Glen Moray Single Malt Scotch Whisky Partners with Senior Open Golf Championship

In an exciting development for both the world of golf and whisky, Glen Moray single malt Scotch whisky has been announced as the new Official Whisky of the Senior Open presented by Rolex. This three-year partnership, valued at six figures, will kick off this summer at the prestigious championship held at Carnoustie Golf Links in Scotland.

From July 25th to 28th, golf enthusiasts and whisky connoisseurs alike can enjoy the championship while sipping on Glen Moray’s smooth and fruity single malt whiskies at the brand’s whisky bar in the Championship Village. Global Brand Ambassador Iain Allan and the Glen Moray team will be on hand to provide top-notch hospitality and a specially crafted cocktail for fans to enjoy.

In addition to the Senior Open partnership, Glen Moray has also been named the official whisky of the Tartan Pro Tour, a Scottish-based development tour for male and female golfers. The brand will be present at all tour events, including the ‘home leg’ event at Nairn Dunbar Golf Course near the distillery.

Jamie Stewart, UK Commercial Director of Glen Moray’s parent company LMB-UK, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the shared values of golf and Scotch whisky in bringing people together for good times. Edward Kitson, Championship Director at the European Tour Group, and Paul Lawrie, founder of the Tartan Pro Tour, also welcomed Glen Moray’s involvement in the world of golf.

The Senior Open presented by Rolex, jointly owned by the European Tour Group and The R&A, is a premier event where golf legends showcase their skills on iconic UK courses. With Glen Moray now on board as the official whisky, fans can look forward to a unique blend of world-class golf and top-notch Scotch whisky at this year’s championship.
