Google has made a significant move in the Indian real estate market by leasing a massive office space in Bengaluru. The tech giant has leased 649,000 square feet of office space in Alembic City, Whitefield, Bengaluru, with a monthly rent of over Rs 4 lakh. The lease agreement includes a three-year lock-in period and a monthly rental rate of Rs 62 per square foot, resulting in a substantial monthly rent of Rs 4,02,38,000.

This news comes as Google continues to expand its presence in India, with recent lease agreements in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. In 2022, Google renewed its lease for 600,000 square feet of office space in Hyderabad and agreed to lease 1.3 million square feet of office space from Bagmane Developers in Bengaluru. Since 2020, Google’s office space portfolio in India has grown by 3.5 million square feet, with operations now in five Indian cities and a total real estate footprint of 9.3 million square feet.

This move by Google highlights the company’s commitment to the Indian market and its continued growth and investment in the country. With the tech industry booming in India, Google’s expansion in Bengaluru is a testament to the city’s status as a hub for technology and innovation. The leasing of such a large office space also signifies Google’s confidence in the future potential of the Indian market and its plans for further expansion and development in the region.
