Grants and Educational Resources for Women-Owned Small Businesses

Regarding Her, a nonprofit organization based in D.C. and Los Angeles, is offering small business grants to women-owned food and beverage businesses through its Regarding Her Academy program. The program will award twenty grants of $5,000 each, along with a ten-week educational program, to qualifying businesses. This initiative aims to support women entrepreneurs in growing their businesses and making a positive impact in their communities.

In Broome County, New York, small businesses can apply for grants of up to $50,000 through the Small Business Development Grant program. These grants are intended to help businesses expand, recover from the effects of the pandemic, and create or retain jobs. Priority is given to businesses that offer jobs to low to moderate-income individuals, minority and women-owned enterprises, veteran-owned businesses, and those in rural, low-income communities.

Louisiana is also offering matching grants to research-focused start-ups that receive federal Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer grants. Through the Louisiana Innovation Retention Grant program, businesses can apply for up to $100,000 in matching state funds to support their innovative projects.

Additionally, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago is providing grants and discounted lending through its Community First® Accelerate Grants for Small Business program. Businesses with a relationship with an FHLBank Chicago member can apply for grants of $30,000 or $15,000 to support their growth and development.
