U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley is leading the charge for legislation aimed at tackling the rising costs of higher education. Teaming up with Democratic Senator Tina Smith, Grassley recently co-authored an op-ed shedding light on their proposed bill, the “Understanding the True Cost of College” Act.

In addition to the “Understanding the True Cost of College” Act, Grassley is also pushing for other bills like the “Net Price Calculator Improvement Act” and the “Know Before You Owe Federal Student Loan Act.” These measures seek to improve the ways students can calculate the costs of higher education and address loan counseling requirements for institutions.
