The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) made a splash at the ATAS Leaders’ Dinner 2024 in London, showcasing Greece’s adventure tourism offerings to top UK tour operators and travel agents. This marked Greece’s first appearance at the prestigious event, which aims to elevate the visibility of the touring and adventure travel industry and help travel agents enhance their expertise and boost sales.

During the dinner, participants were treated to authentic Greek cuisine, providing them with a taste of Greece’s rich gastronomy. GNTO’s UK and Ireland branch director, Eleni Skarvelis, took the opportunity to present Greece’s outdoor activities to the crowd, including rafting at the Voidomatis River, hiking at Meteora and Mount Mainalo, and coasteering in Kefalonia’s rocky coastline.

The event drew a crowd of 50 UK tour operators, including Trailfinders, Advantage Travel Partnership, Audley Travel, and more, as well as major travel agencies like Not Just Travel and Intele Travel. GNTO officials also held B2B meetings with representatives from the British adventure tourism market, aiming to expand Greek destinations’ offerings during spring and autumn.

Last year, GNTO participated in the ATAS B2B workshop in Liverpool, showcasing Greece’s appeal to British travelers seeking adventure tourism experiences. With growing interest in Greece’s adventure offerings, the country is poised to attract more UK visitors looking for unique and exciting experiences.
