GSA’s Innovative Strategy for Small Business Matchmaking

The General Services Administration (GSA) is shaking up the Alliant 3 IT services contract with a new approach to attract small businesses with emerging technology capabilities. Large businesses can now engage with small businesses in 11 specific emerging technology areas to earn points towards the contract.

Paul Bowen, the director of the center for GWAC programs at GSA, highlighted this innovative evaluation factor, which allows large businesses to meet with up to five small businesses with eligible emerging technology solutions. This initiative aims to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing between large and small businesses in the tech sector.

GSA’s decision to incorporate small business matchmaking into the evaluation factor is a strategic move to leverage the expertise and innovation of small businesses in emerging technologies.
