Guardians defeat Mariners as Bieber makes strong comeback | News, Sports, Jobs

Cleveland Guardians’ pitcher Shane Bieber dominated the Seattle Mariners in a 5-2 victory on Tuesday night. Bieber, the 2020 AL Cy Young Award winner, threw six scoreless innings, striking out nine batters and allowing only six hits. He has been in top form this season, with 20 strikeouts and just one walk in 12 innings.

The Guardians’ offense was led by Bo Naylor, who hit a two-run homer off Mariners’ pitcher Luis Castillo. Naylor has been hot at the plate, going 4 for 7 in the first two games of the series. Will Brennan, Steven Kwan, and Tyler Freeman also contributed to the scoring with RBI hits.
