Rodriguez, playing in just his second game since being called up from Triple-A Columbus, singled home David Fry to break a 3-3 tie and give the Guardians the lead.

In addition to his clutch hit, Rodriguez also showed his compassionate side in the first inning when he rescued a small black bird that had landed near him on the field. The 24-year-old outfielder gently picked up the bird and handed it over to a bullpen attendant to ensure its safety.
