The Cleveland Guardians continued their hot streak with a 4-1 win over the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night. José Ramírez’s eighth-inning homer sealed the victory, while Tyler Freeman and Bryan Rocchio also contributed with RBIs in the seventh inning.

Ramírez, who had been experiencing some tough luck with hard-hit balls, connected for his fourth homer of the season off Red Sox pitcher Cam Booser. The switch-hitting Ramírez drove a 1-2 pitch into the right-field seats, marking his first opposite-field homer from the right side since 2017.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora praised Ramírez’s performance, calling him a “stud” and one of the best players in baseball. Guardians manager Stephen Vogt also expressed admiration for Ramírez, highlighting his exceptional talent on the field.

The Guardians, off to their best start in franchise history, improved their record to 17-6, matching the club’s best start through 23 games. With a strong pitching staff and a potent offense, the Guardians are proving to be a formidable opponent this season.

Pitcher Ben Lively made an impressive debut at Progressive Field, allowing just one run and five hits in 6 1/3 innings. The Guardians’ bullpen, led by Emmanuel Clase, closed out the game with a solid performance.

The Red Sox, on the other hand, struggled to generate offense against the Guardians’ pitching staff. Outfielder Tyler O’Neill returned to the lineup after a collision last week, while first baseman Triston Casas and third baseman Rafael Devers dealt with injuries.
