Reading Time: < 1 minute

The era of personalized health is here, and Fitness SF is leading the way by offering biomarker testing as a membership option. The Bay Area-based health club brand has partnered with biotech startup InsideTracker to provide DNA analysis and biannual blood biomarker testing for over 35,000 clients and staff members.

This innovative program represents a convergence of fitness and healthcare, with Fitness SF president Zsolt Jackovics emphasizing the importance of integrating healthcare diagnostics into the modern gym setting. The partnership also includes collaboration with the Institute of Motion to enhance professional development for Fitness SF coaches.

InsideTracker’s CEO, Rony Sellam, believes that combining advanced technology with Fitness SF’s expertise will revolutionize how individuals approach their health and wellness. The program will not only be available to club members but will also be integrated into personal training packages to provide tailored recommendations based on individual needs.

This move towards personalized health and fitness is in line with consumer preferences, as a recent report from McKinsey revealed that 88% of consumers prioritize personalization in their fitness and wellness journeys. Luxury lifestyle brand Equinox has also made a similar move by partnering with Function Health to offer specialized programs based on members’ biological profiles.

Overall, the availability of biomarker testing as a value-add service in the fitness industry signals a shift towards a more personalized and proactive approach to health and wellness. With Fitness SF and Equinox leading the way, other club operators may soon follow suit in offering biomarker-based training and guidance to meet the evolving needs of their members.
