Haley Cavinder set to make college basketball comeback, reunite with twin at Miami

Twin sisters Haley and Hanna Cavinder are set to reunite on the basketball court for the Miami Hurricanes women’s basketball program in the upcoming 2024-25 season. Haley, who led Miami in scoring during the 2022-23 season, initially committed to TCU but made the decision to return to Miami after her sister announced her return to the Hurricanes.

In an Instagram post, Haley expressed her excitement about playing alongside her sister for their final and fifth year of eligibility, emphasizing the importance of family and their bond as twins. The Cavinder twins are known for their impressive performances on the court, with Haley averaging 12.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in the 2022-23 season.

Their decision to return to Miami comes after they initially announced their intention to forgo their fifth year of eligibility to explore other opportunities. The twins have been highly sought after in the name, image, and likeness era, securing endorsements from companies like WWE, Raising Cane’s, and Intuit TurboTax.

Both Haley and Hanna played under former Hurricanes coach Katie Meier, who recently announced her retirement after 19 seasons. The twins spent their first three collegiate seasons at Fresno State before transferring to Miami.
