Hamad International Airport Wins Top Honor as World’s Best Airport at Skytrax World Airport Awards

Doha’s Hamad International Airport has once again clinched the title of the World’s Best Airport in the prestigious Skytrax World Airport Awards 2024. The announcement was made at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Frankfurt, Germany, on April 17, 2024. Hamad International Airport also secured awards for the World’s Best Airport Shopping and the Best Airport in the Middle East.

Singapore Changi Airport, the 2023 Airport of the Year and a 12-time winner in the past, came in second place globally and was recognized as the Best Airport in Asia and for the World’s Best Airport Immigration Service. Seoul Incheon Airport climbed to third place in the global rankings and was honored as the World’s Most Family Friendly Airport for 2024.

Tokyo Haneda Airport claimed the fourth spot globally and was distinguished as the World’s Cleanest Airport, the World’s Best Domestic Airport, and for delivering the World’s Best Airport PRM & Accessible Facilities.

The awards ceremony also highlighted other top-performing airports around the world. Tokyo Narita Airport received accolades for having the World’s Best Airport Staff and the Best Airport Staff in Asia. New Chitose Airport in Japan was named the World’s Most Improved Airport, while Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya won the title of the World’s Best Regional Airport.

Various airports across Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Asia were also recognized for their outstanding services and facilities, showcasing the global excellence in the aviation industry. The full list of winners can be viewed on the Skytrax website.
