Jamestown’s Maddy Burgess showcased her speed and talent on the track as she led the girls 200 meters at a recent nonleague meet against Clymer/Sherman/Panama. The Red & Green team emerged victorious with a score of 81-54, thanks to standout performances from London Hamilton and Tayden Persons.

Hamilton dominated the distance events, winning both the 1,500 meters and the 3,000 meters. Meanwhile, Persons excelled in the hurdles, claiming victory in both the 100-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles. Lily Johnson also made her mark by winning the triple jump and high jump for the Wolfpack.

In the relay events, Jamestown proved their strength by winning two out of three relays. The team of Myah Crossley, Amara Pacheco, Emily Cardinale, and Maddy Burgess secured victory in the 400m relay with a time of 51.9 seconds.

Burgess continued to shine in the individual events, winning the 200 meters with a time of 26.2 seconds. With a strong team effort and standout performances from key athletes, Jamestown showcased their dominance on the track and field.

In other track and field action, Southwestern also delivered an impressive performance, with Emma Lewis and Alexis Grijalva leading the Trojans to victory over Randolph. The meet featured a total of 13 events, with Lewis and Grijalva both securing double wins to propel their team to success.
