Hawaii baseball dominates UC Riverside for 10th consecutive victory

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Hawaii baseball team is on fire, achieving their NCAA-leading 10th straight win with an impressive 8-2 victory over UC Riverside at Les Murakami Stadium. This win marks the team’s longest stretch of quality play in quite some time, with Randy Abshier delivering his second consecutive scoreless start.

With a record of 31-15, the Rainbow Warriors are riding high after reaching the 30-win mark for the first time since 2012. This win also marks their second double-digit win streak since 2000, as they continue to dominate on the field. Despite facing no winning teams in their remaining seven games, the team’s morale remains high as they strive for a postseason berth.

Coach Rich Hill attributes the team’s success to their synergy and positive energy in the dugout. Abshier’s stellar performance on the mound, with 13 1/3 straight scoreless innings, has been a key factor in the team’s recent success. His confidence in his pitches, including a 90 mph fastball and a sharp slider, has kept opposing hitters at bay.

The Rainbow Warriors showcased their depth and talent throughout the game, with players like Austin Machado and Kyson Donahue making significant contributions. The team’s defense was also on point, with highlight-reel plays from Matthew Miura and Jared Quandt sealing the victory.

As the series continues on Sunday, the Hawaii baseball team looks to extend their winning streak and solidify their position as a force to be reckoned with in the Big West conference.
