Health Influencers Recognized in ‘Time 100 Health’ List

Time magazine has just released its highly anticipated list of the 100 most influential individuals in the world of health, known as “Time 100 Health.” The list includes a diverse group of individuals categorized as Innovators, Titans, Pioneers, Leaders, and Catalysts, all making significant contributions to the field of health.

One standout figure on the list is Dr. Hadiza Shehu Galadanci, an OB/GYN and professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Nigeria’s Bayero University. Dr. Galadanci has been recognized for her work in reducing maternal mortality rates in Nigeria, a country with one of the highest rates of maternal deaths in the world. Through her innovative system for preventing fatal postpartum hemorrhages, Dr. Galadanci is changing the standard of medical practice and saving lives.

Another honoree is Mike Curtis, President and CEO of eGenesis, who is using CRISPR technology to edit pig genes for safer organ transplants. The first patient to receive a pig kidney is doing well, offering hope for those in need of life-saving transplants.
