Health Secretary reviews the implementation of ABDM in Jammu and Kashmir

Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, led a meeting at the Civil Secretariat to review the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) in Jammu and Kashmir. The Secretary stressed the importance of creating a Project Management Unit under ABDM in the UT and urged all officers and officials to work diligently to ensure the full implementation of ABDM across J&K.

Dr. Abid Rasheed emphasized the significance of digital interventions in healthcare delivery and the utilization of technology to enhance the quality of healthcare services for patients. He directed officers to identify stakeholders and challenges hindering the effective adoption of the digital health ecosystem and to outline a roadmap to achieve this vision for all stakeholders in the ABDM ecosystem.

The Secretary highlighted the need for officers to work in coordination to improve the digitalization process in the healthcare system and elevate the quality of facilities provided to patients in hospitals through this technological revolution in medicare across the UT.

Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, J&K, Nazim Zai Khan, presented various aspects of the Mission during the meeting, including the status of ABDM in the UT, manpower in the Project Management Unit under ABDM, upcoming infrastructure, targets achieved, and the operational status of HMIS (JK e-Sahaj) in Public Health Facilities across J&K.

The meeting was attended by various senior officers, including the Additional Mission Director, ABDM, FA/CAO, ABDM, Consultants ABDM, and other officers of ABDM, J&K. The discussions and presentations highlighted the progress and achievements of ABDM in terms of digital health initiatives and the ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare services in Jammu and Kashmir.
