High school sports calendar for the Monroe County Region from April 29 to May 5

The local sports scene is heating up this week with a packed schedule of baseball, softball, soccer, golf, tennis, and lacrosse games. Fans can look forward to some exciting matchups and fierce competition as teams battle it out on the field.

In baseball action, the Monroe team will face off against Dexter in a doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. Meanwhile, Flat Rock will take on SMCC, Saline will play Bedford in a doubleheader, and Airport will go head-to-head with Milan. Other matchups include Dearborn Edsel Ford at Gibraltar Carlson and Jefferson at New Boston Huron.

On the softball diamond, Monroe will also play a doubleheader against Dexter, while Flat Rock will challenge SMCC, and Saline will take on Bedford in a doubleheader. Airport will face off against Milan, Dearborn Edsel Ford will play Gibraltar Carlson, and Jefferson will battle New Boston Huron.

In girls soccer, SMCC will go up against Grosse Ile, Airport will play Riverview, and Wyandotte Roosevelt will face Gibraltar Carlson. Other matchups include Clinton at Dundee, Flat Rock at Jefferson, Hillsdale at Ida, and New Boston Huron at Milan.

In boys golf, teams like Monroe, SMCC, Gibraltar Carlson, Dundee, Ida, and Summerfield will compete in the Tecumseh Invitational. New Boston Huron will take on Airport at Sandy Creek, Flat Rock will play Milan at Pineview, and Jefferson will face Grosse Ile.
