The Foxboro High boys tennis team showcased their dominance on Tuesday afternoon as they defeated Stoughton High with a score of 4-1. The Warriors displayed their skills by winning all but the first singles match, with each victory coming in two sets.
Raj Jetty led the charge with an impressive 6-0, 6-0 win in first singles, while Luca Meyer secured a 6-1, 6-0 victory in second singles. Ryan Fosella continued the winning streak with a strong performance in third singles, winning 6-1, 6-0.
In the doubles matches, Josh D’Souza and Nate Urman claimed a 6-3, 6-4 victory in second doubles. However, Surej Krishnan and Evan Paluzzi faced tough competition in first doubles and ultimately fell short with a score of 7-5, 6-0.
With this win, Foxboro improves their record to 8-5 and looks forward to their upcoming match against Canton on Thursday.
In other tennis action, Attleboro secured a 5-0 victory over Taunton, while Franklin defeated North Attleboro with a score of 4-1. Sharon also emerged victorious with a 4-1 win over Mansfield, and Bishop Feehan dominated Bishop Stang with a clean sweep of 5-0.
On the girls’ side, Taunton triumphed over Attleboro with a 4-1 win, and Bishop Feehan secured a 5-0 victory against Saint Mary’s of Lynn. The Shamrocks displayed their strength in both singles and doubles matches, showcasing their talent on the court.
