Hillman High School’s star basketball player, Trenton Taratuta, has officially signed to continue his academic and basketball careers at Saginaw Valley State University. Taratuta, who has broken numerous records during his time at Hillman, including surpassing Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson in career high school points, is now ready to take on the challenge of playing Division II basketball.

Known for his humility and strong work ethic, Taratuta has been a role model for the Hillman community, showcasing the values of hard work and dedication. His decision to attend SVSU was influenced by the school’s impressive athletic facilities and campus, as well as its academic offerings.

While Taratuta is excited to transition to the collegiate level, he understands the challenges that come with playing at a higher level of competition. However, he is determined to continue growing as both a player and a person, with a focus on contributing to his team’s success.
