In a thrilling upset, the Hingham boys tennis team secured a 3-2 victory over previously undefeated Sharon, who entered the match with a perfect 21-0 record. The No. 10 ranked Harbormen (18-3) achieved their goal of advancing past the Division 2 Round of Eight, a feat they had not accomplished in recent seasons.
The match was a tense showdown, with Parker Schultz leading the charge with a quick 6-1, 6-2 win over Sharon’s Matthew Lally. Travis Rugg and Eric Li followed suit with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at first doubles, setting the stage for a nail-biting finish.
