WhatsApp Introduces New Event Scheduling Feature

The new feature, called Events, enables any member of a group to create an event and invite others to RSVP. This makes it easier for group members to see who will be attending the event and plan accordingly. In addition to the Events feature, WhatsApp has also introduced the ability for administrators to respond to messages in Announcement Groups. This allows admins to stay informed about events within their community and engage with members more effectively. Notifications are muted globally to reduce disruptions, while responses are grouped to provide a contextual view of discussions.

Furthermore, WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new account restriction feature that will limit the number of messages users can send from their accounts as a temporary punishment for specific violations. Despite these restrictions, banned users will still be able to communicate in existing groups and chats, ensuring that essential lines of communication remain open.
