How to Track Your Mood on Apple Watch

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Apple Watch users can now track their mood with the latest Mindfulness app feature on watchOS 10. This new feature aims to support mental health by allowing users to log their momentary emotions and daily moods discreetly and conveniently.

The “State of Mind” feature on Apple Watch lets users choose from seven options to describe how they are feeling, ranging from very unpleasant to very pleasant. Users can also add specific emotions they are experiencing and identify what is having the biggest impact on them.

To track mood on Apple Watch, users simply need to open the Mindfulness app, select the “State of Mind” option, and log how they are feeling in the moment or overall for the day. Reminders can be set up to track mood twice a day for those who want to make it a regular habit.

This feature is not limited to Apple Watch; it is also available on iPhone in the Health app with iOS 17. Users can access their mood logs and track their mental wellbeing on their iPhone as well.

In addition to the mood tracking feature, Apple has introduced a new Wellbeing category for Apple Podcasts in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. This category can be found in the Podcasts app under Browse, providing users with more resources to support their mental health.

Overall, the new mood tracking feature on Apple Watch is a valuable tool for users to build emotional awareness and resilience, highlighting the importance of mental health alongside physical health. Share your thoughts on this feature in the comments!
