Hundreds of People Participate in Yoga Session on Runway of Bangkok’s Main Airport | Global News

Reading Time: < 1 minute

In a unique and picturesque event, hundreds of yoga enthusiasts gathered on the runway of Bangkok’s main airport to practice their poses amidst the early morning flights and industrial setting. The event, organized by Brew Yoga, saw participants rolling out their mats on the airport’s third runway, which is still under construction.

As the sun rose, yoga instructors led the group through two workouts, encouraging them to incorporate beverages like coconuts, iced teas, and water into their routines. Despite the pollution and occasional flight roars, the atmosphere was cheerful and enthusiastic.

While many attendees were influencers focused on capturing the perfect shot, others like lawyer Rugeradh Tungsupakul saw it as a fun and unique experience. She mentioned that due to their busy schedules, they rarely have time to visit a yoga studio, making this event a welcome change.

The workout, dominated by women in black leggings and white t-shirts emblazoned with “BREW,” was a first-time experience for many, including instructor Pavadee Komchokpaisan. She praised Bangkok’s yoga community for coming together for this special event.

Among the participants was Precious, invited thanks to her Instagram-famous cat Ernest. She expressed her excitement at the opportunity to do yoga on an airport runway, stating, “Why not?!” Overall, the event was a blend of relaxation, exercise, and a touch of adventure on an unexpected location.
