Ibadan Travel and Tourism Expo 2024 Announces Speakers and Event Chairman

The inaugural Ibadan Travel and Tourism Expo (ITTE) 2024 has announced the former Nigerian Ambassador to the Philippines, Ambassador Yemi Farounbi, as the chairman of the expo, along with a lineup of confirmed speakers. Additionally, Femi Adefope, Chairman of GHI Assets, has been unveiled as the recipient of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Tourism Award.

Scheduled to take place on April 22 and 23 at the luxurious DE Signature Tower Hotel in Jericho, Ibadan, Oyo State, the two-day expo is organized by Twins Tourism promoters, Ambassadors Taiwo and Kehinde Oguntoye. The theme of the event is “Maximizing tourism opportunities for sustainable development in Nigeria.”

The expo aims to drive sustainable tourism by bringing together various stakeholders in the travel industry, including buyers, consumers, airlines, travel tech companies, hospitality providers, government agencies, environmentalists, influencers, and the media. Notable speakers at the event include Professor Wasiu Babalola, Broadcaster Edmund Obilo, Chief Jide Ojo, and Ambassador Wale Ojo-Lanre.

Panel discussions will cover topics such as hotel innovation and development, conservation and environmental issues, youth careers in tourism, and cultural tourism. The expo will culminate in a gala and award night celebrating the 10th anniversary of the tourism radio show, “Travel with the Twins,” hosted by the Oguntoye twin brothers.

Exhibitors at the event will include the Nigeria National Park Service, Nigerian Conservation Foundation, GHi Assets, South African Airways, RwandAir, and more. With a focus on sustainable tourism development, the ITTE 2024 promises to be a significant platform for networking, discussion, and trade deals in the travel industry.
