IIM Kozhikode Honors More Than 1100 Students at 26th Convocation

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode recently held its 26th annual convocation, where a total of 1196 students were conferred with titles and degrees. Among the graduating batch, 33 per cent were female candidates from eight different programs.

The morning session of the convocation saw students from various programs like the Doctoral Programme in Management for Working Executives, Executive Post Graduate Programme in Interactive Learning Mode, and Executive Post Graduate Programme in Kochi Campus receiving their degrees.

In the evening session, regular full-time students from programs like DPM (PhD), PGP, PGP-BL, PGP-Finance, and PGP-LSM were awarded their degrees.

The convocation also recognized the outstanding achievements of the students, with gold medals being awarded to top performers in each program. Notable winners included Ms. Dhanasree S, Mr. Sidhant Jain, Mr. Agrawal Ameya, and Ms. Medha Dhall, among others.

This year marked a significant milestone as three students from the unique PhD program for Working Executives were conferred with doctoral degrees for the first time since its initiation in 2019.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Geetika Mehta, Managing Director of Nivea India, and Amarendu Prakash, Chairman of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), along with other dignitaries. The event was attended by the Chairman of IIMK Board of Governors, the Director of IIMK, faculty, staff, students, and their families.

Overall, the convocation was a celebration of academic excellence and the hard work of the graduating students, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their professional lives.
