India aims for an unbeatable lead against Bangladesh in the 3rd T20I: BAN vs IND

Reading Time: < 1 minute

India is on the brink of securing an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series against Bangladesh in the women’s T20 International. With dominant performances in the first two matches, India is looking to continue their winning streak in the third match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

The Indian bowling unit, led by spinners Deepti Sharma, Radha Yadav, and Shreyanka Patil, has been instrumental in restricting Bangladesh to modest totals. Pace bowlers Renuka Singh Thakur and Pooja Vastrakar have also made significant contributions. In the batting department, Dayalan Hemalatha made a strong comeback with an explosive innings in the last game, while players like Shafali Verma, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Richa Ghosh have been in good form.

However, star opener Smriti Mandhana will be looking to find her form in the upcoming match. India has relied on a collective team effort throughout the series and will be aiming for more of the same in the remaining games.

The series holds added significance as the T20 World Cup is scheduled to be held in Bangladesh later this year. On the other hand, Bangladesh will be looking to improve their performance in all departments, as their batters have struggled to put up big totals, bowlers have been inconsistent, and fielding has been below par.

With both teams looking to make their mark in the series, the third T20 International promises to be an exciting contest between India and Bangladesh.
