In a rain-marred second women’s T20 International, India emerged victorious over Bangladesh by 19 runs under the Duckworth/Lewis method, thanks to stellar performances by Radha Yadav and Dayalan Hemalatha.

Opting to bat first, India’s bowlers put up a strong show, with Radha leading the charge with figures of three for 19. Deepti Sharma and Shreyanka Patil also chipped in with two wickets each as they bundled out Bangladesh for 119. Opener Murshida Khatun was the top-scorer for the hosts with 46 runs.

In response, India lost an early wicket but Hemalatha’s aggressive innings of 41 off 24 balls propelled them to 47 for one in 5.2 overs before rain interrupted play. With the par score being 28, India was declared the winner as they took a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

Earlier in the match, Dilara Akter got Bangladesh off to a good start before Deepti Sharma dismissed her. Despite a few hiccups, India’s bowlers continued to pick up crucial wickets, with Radha even taking two wickets off successive balls.

With this victory, India continues to dominate the series, showcasing their all-round prowess in both batting and bowling. The next match promises to be an exciting contest as Bangladesh looks to bounce back and level the series.
