India Men’s Hockey Captain Harmanpreet Aims to Achieve Peak Fitness for Paris

The Indian men’s hockey team is gearing up for the tough European leg of the Pro League after a challenging series against Australia, where they were whitewashed in all five matches. Despite the setbacks, captain Harmanpreet Singh remains optimistic about the team’s preparations for the upcoming Paris Olympics.

“We are in the last stages of an intense training block right now. The team has worked on the areas we felt needed attention after the tour of Australia,” said Harmanpreet in a statement released by Hockey India.

The squad is set to face tough opponents like Argentina, Belgium, Germany, and Great Britain in the Pro League 2023/24 matches in Europe. With only 75 days left until the Paris Olympics, the team is focused on being in peak form for the prestigious event.

Vice-captain Hardik Singh highlighted the importance of experienced players like PR Sreejesh and Manpreet Singh in guiding the younger members of the team.
