India TV: Ola Krutrim invites developers to explore the future of AI cloud technology

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Ola Krutrim, a leading artificial intelligence (AI) company in India, has made a groundbreaking announcement by opening up its cloud platform to enterprises, researchers, and developers. This move is set to revolutionize the AI industry by providing access to AI computing infrastructure and foundational models to developers.

The company’s AI assistant app, built on its large-language model (LLM), aims to simplify the utilization of AI for everyone. Bhavish Aggarwal, the Founder of Ola Krutrim, expressed the company’s commitment to developing full-stack AI capabilities in India for the global market, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’.

In January 2024, Ola Krutrim achieved the milestone of becoming India’s fastest unicorn and the country’s first AI unicorn. The company also announced the launch of Model-as-a-Service (MaaS), offering developers access to LLMs and open-source models at affordable costs.

However, amidst these advancements, Ola Cabs faced challenges as Hemant Bakshi stepped down from the CEO position after just four months. The company is reportedly restructuring its team, which may impact around 10% of its workforce. Ola Cabs also initiated discussions with investment banks for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) and announced the closure of its global markets in the UK, New Zealand, and Australia.

Despite these challenges, Ola Cabs expanded its services to Ayodhya, emphasizing its commitment to serving one billion Indian cab users. This strategic move reflects the company’s dedication to leveraging technology and innovation to enhance mobility solutions for millions of customers.
