Pakistan’s foreign office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch has issued a strong statement urging Indian politicians to refrain from dragging Pakistan into their political discourse for electoral gains. Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Baloch emphasized that Pakistan rejects all claims made by India regarding Jammu and Kashmir.

Baloch expressed concern over the increasing number of provocative statements from Indian leaders asserting unwarranted claims on the region. She warned that such inflammatory rhetoric fueled by hyper-nationalism poses a serious threat to regional peace and stability.

The spokesperson highlighted that the claims made by Indian politicians are baseless and contrary to historical and legal facts. She emphasized that Pakistan stands firm in rejecting India’s assertions over Jammu and Kashmir.

This statement from Pakistan comes amidst the ongoing national elections in India, where politicians have been using rhetoric involving Pakistan. The Ministry of External Affairs in India has consistently reiterated that Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are integral parts of India, dismissing any external interference in the matter.

Leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have also made statements regarding Pakistan during their election campaigns. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar have both reiterated India’s stance on the issue of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), emphasizing that it is an integral part of India.

As tensions continue to simmer between the two neighboring countries, the issue of Jammu and Kashmir remains a contentious topic in the political landscape of both nations.
