Indian sports update, April 23: Former Tamil Nadu bowler Arun Kumar sadly passes away

Former Tamil Nadu fast bowler K. Arun Kumar passed away on April 22 at the age of 64, leaving behind a legacy of fearlessness and excellence in the cricketing world. Arun Kumar, who played 13 First-Class matches and two List ‘A’ matches between 1984 and 1989, was known for his exceptional skills as a fast bowler and all-rounder.

A member of the Tamil Nadu Team that clinched the Ranji Trophy in 1988 by defeating Railways, Arun Kumar was a popular and respected figure in the domestic cricket circuit during the 80s. The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) expressed their condolences on his passing, highlighting his remarkable contributions to the game.

In other sports news, Indian golfer Diksha Dagar achieved a career-best world ranking of 138 after finishing third at the Joburg Ladies Open.
