The Skyline Central Conference recently announced its award winners for the 2024 softball season, with Bark River-Harris standout Aubrey Gagnon taking home the prestigious Player of the Year award. Gagnon, a senior, had an outstanding season and was a key player in leading her team to success.
In addition to Gagnon’s recognition, Victoria Cooper from Norway was named Offensive Player of the Year, while Faith Javrurek from Bark River-Harris earned the title of Defensive Player of the Year. Fiona Phelps from Stephenson was honored with the Sportsmanship Award for her exemplary behavior on and off the field.
The conference also announced its First Team, Second Team, Special Mention, and Honorable Mention recipients, highlighting the top performers from each school in the conference. Players like Abby Ingersoll and Ella Gonzalez from Bark River-Harris, Elizabeth Romitti and Kara Stanchina from Norway, and Samantha Johnson and Alice Hancock from Superior Central were among those recognized for their outstanding contributions to their teams.
The awards ceremony celebrated the hard work and dedication of these student-athletes throughout the season, showcasing their talent and commitment to the sport of softball. Congratulations to all the winners and honorees for their impressive performances on the field.
